The guided tour explore the royal apartments fully furnished and decorated with a very beautiful period furniture :
We do not have disabled toilets
The self visit will lead you to the bakery (shop of the castle), the guardroom, the prison, the large medieval cellars where are aging some prestigious wines of Bordeaux and shelter. You will also see an exposition of cristal and old glassware and the treasures found in the walls, under the watchful eye of a magnificent Bacchus of the XIVth century.
2017: Restoration of the first floor of the 13th century part of the Château with 120m2 of naturalized animals exhibition of the Parc de Cazeneuve and a superb film on the Ciron valley in a specially arranged room. You will also have access to the battlement of more than 25 meters on the river that leads to the large chapel, as well as the Chapelain apartment.
You may also enter the the troglodyte caves which testify of the prehistoric settlement of the site, then one glimpses through a back door the entrance of an underground. The tour continues with the Merovingian sarcophagi and the Gallo-Roman nymphaeum bathed by its underground river, true haven of freshness.
